By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The Service is intended for consumer use.
2. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy (available on revel.cam).
3. What the Service does
Revel.cam is a social photo sharing app. A person ("Host") can create an event called a Moment with settings like a name, maximum participants, per-guest photo limit, and an end date.
Guests can join a Moment by scanning an invite (for example via QR code or NFC) and may use an App Clip (iOS) or Android app to take and upload photos to the Moment. When a Moment ends, a gallery may be shared with participants. Hosts may be able to review photos before they go live.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
4. Accounts, invites, and participant IDs
Hosts and accounts
Some features (such as certain host controls) may require creating an account (for example, providing an email address). If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping it secure and for all activity under it.
Guests (no account required)
Guests may be able to participate without creating an account. In that case, we may still create a technical record such as a participant ID and collect limited usage and security-related data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Invites
Anyone with access to an invite may be able to join a Moment. Hosts are responsible for where and how invites are shared.
5. Moment controls and moderation
Host controls
Depending on Moment settings and features, Hosts may be able to:
- Review photos before they become visible to other participants,
- Reject/hide photos from other participants,
- Delete photos.
Participant removal: Hosts cannot directly remove participants. To request removal, contact support@revel.cam.
Our enforcement
We may remove or restrict content, disable Moments, or restrict access to the Service if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- enforce these Terms,
- comply with legal obligations,
- address safety, abuse, fraud, or security risks,
- protect users, Autelika, or the public.
6. User Content (photos) — ownership and license
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of the photos and other content you upload ("User Content").
6.2 License you grant to Autelika
To operate the Service, you grant Autelika a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, cache, reproduce, process, modify (for technical purposes like resizing/encoding), transmit, display, and distribute your User Content solely to:
- provide the Service (including showing photos within the Moment and its gallery to participants),
- maintain, secure, and improve the Service (including backups and performance),
- comply with law and enforce these Terms.
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except that copies may remain for a limited time in backups or as required for legal compliance, security, and dispute resolution.
6.3 Your responsibility for what you upload
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload and share User Content using the Service, including any needed permissions from people shown in the content.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law or violate others' rights (privacy, publicity, copyright, etc.),
- upload or share unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory content,
- upload exploitative sexual content, including any sexual content involving minors (strictly prohibited),
- upload content that incites violence or includes excessive graphic violence,
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Moments or systems, guess invite codes, or bypass rate limits,
- distribute malware, interfere with the Service, or reverse engineer the Service except where prohibited by law,
- scrape or mass-download content except through features we provide.
We may take action (including removal, restriction, or suspension) if you violate these rules.
8. Complaints and takedowns (simple process)
If you believe content on the Service violates your rights (including copyright or privacy), contact support@revel.cam with:
- enough information to identify the content and the Moment,
- your contact details,
- why you believe the content is unlawful or infringes your rights.
We may restrict access while we review and may request additional information.
9. Paid features and in-app purchases
Moments are free up to 10 participants. Hosts may be able to upgrade a Moment's capacity using one-time in-app purchases through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Purchases are processed by Apple/Google. We do not store full payment card details.
- Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple/Google under their policies, and we cannot override their decisions.
- Pricing and availability may change.
10. Data retention and availability (high level)
We retain data for as long as needed to provide and operate the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Based on current practices:
- Moment photos and galleries: may be retained for up to 12 months (including after a Moment ends), unless deleted earlier or required to be retained/removed for legal or safety reasons.
- Backups: may be retained for up to 1 month.
- Usage/security logs: may be retained for longer periods as described in the Privacy Policy (including for security and reliability purposes).
11. Third-party services
We use third-party service providers to operate the Service (for example, infrastructure/hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, and app platform services). These providers may process data on our behalf under contractual protections consistent with our Privacy Policy. Our current vendors may include providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Hetzner, Resend/Fastmail, and Sentry, and may change over time.
12. Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you give us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Autelika disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that photos will never be lost or corrupted. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Autelika will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Autelika's total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed SEK 1,000 or (if higher) the amount you paid to Autelika for the specific in-app purchase giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Autelika from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example in-app or on revel.cam). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, excluding conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
